How to Secure a booking

All bridal bookings require a deposit of £150:00 to secure the date, this is deducted from your final invoice and NOT your preview .

Securing your wedding means that you have signed , read + understood all of my TnCs .

Your wedding date is confirmed once Lisa has received your deposit via bank transfer. A date cannot be held without a deposit. You have four days to pay the deposit before Lisa releases your date to other enquiries. 

Once the deposit is received, you will receive confirmation from Lisa with the details of your booking and you will be invited to book your preview. Please note a preview is only booked after the deposit has been received.

For international clients a zoom consultation is available for a fee , please enquire on booking.

The booking deposit is non-refundable unless cancelled by Lisa Murphy makeup + hair . 

Minimum Booking

There is a minimum spend of £500:00 for all bookings Thursday to Sunday & Bank Holidays (not including travel or assistant fee’s). This equates to bride plus 2 .Bookings Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday there is a minimum spend of £400:00

All previews take place in Faringdon, Oxfordshire Monday - Wednesday only.

A Bridal party more than 3 will require an additional artist dependant on ceremony timings, fee - £100:00

Please note all Preview payments are required in full one week prior to your appointment.

Final invoices are to be paid one month prior to your wedding date.

TRAVEL

All travel is charged at 50p per mile including the artists and assistant (if required) return journey. All public parking , transport etc will be added to the final invoice. A location more than 2 hours from me may require overnight accommodation.

General

Confirmation of booking details will confirm your provisional booking and your agreements in accordance with all of these terms and conditions.

For special occasions or other non-wedding bookings a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm and secure your booking. The outstanding balance will be due to pay three days before the service.

The client shall inform the artist of any allergies or product sensitivities they may have before the trial takes place. This also includes but is not limited to, medical conditions or any issues that may affect the use of our equipment and products. The artist reserves the right to refuse service to any client for, but not limited to, any behaviour deemed threatening or abusive and all payments made prior to this will be retained.

Booking Process

To secure the booking , The client will be required to pay Lisa a £150:00 non-refundable deposit. This is due within 4 days of the deposit invoice being sent. This is deducted from the wedding day final invoice and not your preview.

Please note the booking is not secure until your deposit has been received in full and Lisa Murphy has confirmed receipt in writing. We reserve the right to re book or cancel your date if fees are not paid on time.

MINIMUM BOOKING

There is a minimum booking of £500::00 for Thursday to Sundays + Bank holidays on weddings booked from April to September . This equates to Bride plus 2 bridal party members on a wedding day all having makeup + hair. A surcharge will apply to all bookings outside of this minimum. The surcharge will be charged at the rate of the difference between the current booking and the minimum until £500:00 has been reached. Bride only bookings with Lisa all year round incur a £100:00 surcharge .

CANCELLATIONS , CHANGES + FEES

If for some reason you cancel your booking , your cancellation must be stated in writing.

If a wedding or part of a booking is cancelled , changed or postponed within 2 months of the wedding date , the balance is required in full and is not refundable.

Your deposit is non refundable.

Invoice dates - late payment will incur a late payment fee of £5:00 per day

YOUR PREVIEW

All previews take place in Faringdon, Oxfordshire on Tuesday + Wednesday’s only between the hours of 9am until 3pm..

For those who logistically cannot attend a preview in person , a zoom bridal consultation is offered . This is a 30 minute session, if required please ask for price details on enquiry.

I ask that you come alone to the preview to allow maximum time to get to know you and your style.

Preview money paid to lisa murphy makeup + hair is completely non refundable.

Change of preview date -

An alternative date will be found.

Changes to those having previews - Any changes made must be made in writing 48 hours before the date of the preview..

Please note if you require a second preview you will need to pay the full preview amount again.

Change to number of clients - A new price will be calculated based on our current price list to reflect any changes in the bridal party, any discounts or special offers will no longer be valid. Please note that if the change results in the number of adults dropping below the minimum booking - the standard surcharge will apply. If a wedding or part of booking is cancelled within 2 months of the wedding date, the balance is required in full.

Artists are allocated based on the number of people in the bridal party. If the number of people or number of services is reduced after the booking has been made and confirmation sent, we may need to allocate another artist. If another artist cannot be found, we reserve the right to cancel the booking. The deposit and any preview money if paid, will be retained. We do understand that things change, and bridal party numbers can change also, but there will be a surcharge in place for significant changes to numbers that have previously been discussed and accounted for. If any more than 2 people are dropped from the party within 2 months of the wedding day, then a 20% surcharge of their initial quoted price will be charged per person dropped. Minimum booking prices and numbers are still applicable. Bookings must be above the minimum booking or the total cost made up to the equivalent amount. Please note: Any discounts will only apply at the time of booking and will not be applied to any changes made after this time. Change of location - We may need to add a travel charge if the location changes. If the location changes dramatically we may need to send a different artist, if another artist cannot be found we reserve the right to cancel the booking. If you have already had a trial and would like another one with the new artist the full charge will apply. The deposit is non-refundable. If the booking is directly affected by circumstances beyond the control of the artist, every possible endeavour to rectify such situations will be made, however no compensation will be offered on the artist’s part.

The client is strongly advised to take out wedding insurance to cover against such situations.

BRIDAL PREVIEW

We want our clients to be happy with their artist. If a client decides to cancel a wedding booking after a preview the full amount plus any travel to the preview ( if applicable) is still chargeable. The difference between the non refundable deposit already paid and the preview and travel costings is due. The preview and travel money paid to the stylist is completely nonrefundable.

Lisa Murphy cancellations

In exceptional circumstances, such as a hospital stay, accident or extreme weather conditions Lisa Murphy artist may need to cancel a booking. This has never happened before but, if it does all attempts will be made to find an alternative artist. If this is not possible or is unacceptable to the client, Lisa Murphy will refund 100% of the deposit minus the trial costs, if this has already taken place. We reserve the right to cancel any booking that has be made under false pretences without liability and retain all payments made by you.

Cancellation, Changes & Fees

If for some reason you cancel your booking, your cancellation must be confirmed in writing . If a wedding , numbers of bridal party or part of booking is cancelled within 2 months of the wedding date, the balance is required in full. Your deposit is non-refundable. Please note that all changes or cancellations MUST be stated in writing.

Payment

All payments are required by BACS

.The price agreed at the time of booking is final. If Lisa Murphy’s price list changes at all, your booking will not be affected.

All discounts and special offers are agreed at the time of booking based on the number booking. If the number or party changes any discounts will no longer be applicable and full current pricing will be charged.

The full cost of the preview is due one week prior to the trial paid by bank transfer to Lisa Murphy and then your final balance is due no later than 4 weeks before the wedding day. We do not take payment on the day of the wedding. If you decide not to go ahead after the trial, your trial payment and deposit will be retained by us.

Additional charges

The client will cover all necessary travel expenses, including that of an assistant if required. Travel is charged at 50p per mile plus return journeys , all public transport costs, any congestion charges and parking charges that are applicable. These are worked out based on postal code, so please provide us with this when enquiring. Parking, congestion and public transport costs will all be added to the final invoice. If a second artist is required at your wedding there will be a supplemental charge of £100:00 . Two additional artists will be a charge of £150:00

OTHER

•The client agrees that the artist may use any photography for publicity which include but are not limited to the artists website social media pages, advertising ,business cards etc.

•We are not responsible for the content of external websites linked for your information .

•Unfortunately we do not provide credit terms.

•Following smoking regulations , smoking or vaping whilst an artist is working is not permitted.

•Artists reserve the right to refuse work if a client is rude , aggressive, upsetting or abusive in anyway.In this case the usual cancellation policy will apply.

•All t&cs are right at the time of publication and Lisa Murphy makeup and hair has taken every care in the preparation op the content of this website, in particular to ensure that prices quoted are correct at time of publishing and all products have been fairly described.

What should I include in my enquiry form?
Please include as much detail as possible, full numbers and services required. Location of Bridal prep etc. Please also include the time you will need to be ready by , this helps me understand if an additional artist will be required.

What is your style?
I am booked for my bespoke glowy style + signature updo’s but in general soft and beautiful is my vibe.

What happens at my preview ?
Prior to your bridal preview you will be sent helpful tips to get the best from your appointment.. When you arrive firstly a good cuppa ! General chat and then We will discuss skincare , any skin issues etc and begin to look through your inspiration , taking into account any accessories + veil . We will then work together to create your look and I will talk you through everything.
